Where to find bed bugs
Bed bugs are known to survive in temporary or alternative habitats, such as backpacks and under the seats in cars, buses and trains.
They can also hide behind baseboards, wallpaper, upholstery and furniture crevices. Bed bugs can be found in homes, hotels, office buildings, retail stores, movie theatres and public transport.
Sign of Bed Bugs
- Small red to reddish brown faecal spots on mattresses, upholstery or walls.
- Molt bed bug skins, their white, sticky eggs or empty eggshells.
- Very heavily infested areas may have a characteristically sweet odour.
- Red, itchy bite marks, especially on the legs, arms and other body parts exposed while sleeping.
